There is a story to be told of the collaborative relationship between the painter and the model. I am very excited to see the beautiful production of A Mirrored Monet, which explores the sacrifices made in a life that was dedicated to creating a new art that would capture a world in transition. The musical explores the emergence of modernism and the tension that exists between new ideas and established tradition, as seen through 2 people in a marriage, through friends and society at large.

I attended a reading of this engaging musical, A MIRRORED MONET, in 2022 in New York and was both impressed and moved by the story and beautiful music. How marvellous it is to learn that it’s having its premiere production in Edinburgh at the famous FRINGE celebration this August. The show will be done with great sensitivity and give one a deeper understanding of Monet.
